(1) Chairman Opens Meeting:
The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and gave an update on Monty. He has returned to the hospice. All wished him well.
(2) Apologies:
The following apologies were received: Jane Love, Carole Poynton, Cllr Sandra.
(3) Police Report:
There had been damage to cars in Tan Lan being dealt with. Youngsters on the Methodist Church roof parents had been spoken to by the police. Tickets issued for parking on the lines by the pelican crossing. There had been a fire in a house on Cadwgan Road no injuries.
(4) Treasurer’s Report:
Defibrillator balance now 0.00 having paid the invoice from the County Council of £1596.91. Events money £736.35 Assoc money is £217.68 having used £96.91 towards defib invoice.
(5) Peulwys Fields:
There has been some digging on the golf course. The Cllrs have reported this to Planning Enforcement. Meeting arranged. The RLDP has been put back again. Was to be on the agenda for 3rd April. Now June/July with consultation in September perhaps.
(6) Active Travel:
Nothing further. Reported that No Unloading marking would be on the road outside Ysgol T. Gwynn Jones.
(7) Litter Pick:
Will wait for it to get warmer before organising.
(8) 20mph Speed Limit:
Nothing further re amending some 20mph to 30mph
(9) Min Y Don Park:
Pupils from Ysgol Swn y Don had planted the trees and were very interested in having an orchard at their own school.
(10) Defective Speed Limit Signs:
The one on Llanelian Road had been repaired but not the one at Wynn Gardens.
(11) Bird droppings under A55 underpass:
Not yet cleaned.
(12) Promenade Steps:
Now done just need signing off by the Council. Concern was expressed again about the positioning of the lifebelts. Enquiries were going to be made as it didn’t seem logical that they weren’t by the steps. Steps to be removed from the Agenda, Lifebelts to go back on.
(13) Any other business:
(a) Water Incident:
There have been issues since with springs appearing here and there. Welsh Water investigating.
(b) Pot Holes and resurfacing.
E-mail sent to fix Heenan Rd, Cefn Rd, Princess Rd, Wynnstay Rd.
Our Cllrs have submitted a list of roads for resurfacing during the next 12 months.
(c) Parking Wynn Avenue
Queens Road Parking. Parking Services have dealt with the low loaders parking here. The motor home on Wynn Avenue is still causing issues.
(d) Trees Abergele Road
Cllrs have complained that although a grant was spent in planting trees on Abergele Road the ones that have died haven’t been replaced.
(e) Pier Light.
The light on the front right hand side of the pier is permanently on. It has been reported before. The Council’s reporting map doesn’t include these lights so will be reported by email again.Pedestrian Safety OC Prom
(f) Dog Fouling.
Still very much an issue without a real solution.
